Unison Opening Prayer
God you have created us as members of Your Body here on earth.
Through Your word may we will learn to break down the barriers that divide us from one another.
As we respond to Your call on our lives may we be united in our common allegiance to You.
Grant us compassion and humility in all our relationships.
Release the gifts You have given to each one, so that in us and through us,
Your kin-dom might come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  AMEN

Opening Song | “With One Voice” | Ricky Manalo

1. Take the Word and go out to every land. Shine the light of Christ for all to see.
May the lives of those we touch sing praise to God above.
Let us sing, we’ll sing…

Refrain
With one voice we’ll pass the Word along. With one voice, bring justice to the world.
And with all the angels, we’ll spread the goodness of God.
With all power and glory the Word of God shall reign.

2. Take the Word to our neighborhoods and streets. Shine the light of Christ for all to see.
May we all set out to live in peace and harmony.
They will see and sing…Refrain

3. Take the Word to the people in despair. Shine the light of Christ for all to see
May our actions and our deeds bring comfort to their needs.
And they’ll know and sing…Refrain

4. Take the Word to the nations everywhere. Shine the light of Christ for all to see.
May the witness of our lives transform the world anew.
And we’ll shine, we’ll shine…Refrain…Refrain

Scripture Focus | Romans 12: 1-8
A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper
worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – God’s
good, pleasing and perfect will.

Humble Service in the Body of Christ
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with
the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we,
though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then
prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give
generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

REFRAIN
May you be rooted and grounded in love, strengthened in the Spirit through faith,
to know the height and depth and length and breadth of God’s understanding and grace.

Paul said we’re all one body, though each has diff’rent gifts,
each given for the common good; together we are lifted up, and  REFRAIN

Let all you do be done in love, and open your heart wide.
If you live by the Spirit, let the Spirit be your guide, and keep you  REFRAIN

So when you feel like worrying, turn ev’rything to prayer,
and God will search your heart and soul, and hope will find you there. You will be  REFRAIN
