One: Lift up your voice! Sing praises to our Creator! For this is the day the LORD has made…
Many: Let us rejoice and be made glad in it.
One: Let us offer a new song to God, let our voices be like Angels’ voices filling the heavens…
Many: For God’s love is true and God’s presence fills this space.
One: May we pursue justice, may we be active peacemakers AND may we live humbly – so that others might simply live…
Many: This is our call, our joy; to be Jesus in the neighborhood!
All: May we be recognized not only by our words BUT ALSO by the manner of our living! Amen.

Unison Responsive Prayer
We answered the call to be Jesus in the Neighborhood, and we are thankful.
Peaceful Oak is the beginning of our investment not just in McPherson, but in our world.
Joined with others, we laid a foundation that will become a legacy of love, of service, of hope, and of peace.
Thank you God, for challenging us to meet the needs of our community and thank you, O God, for not letting
us stop there. We pray you will empower us to continue the work of being Jesus in the Neighborhood, and help
us to do so – peacefully, simply, together. Amen.

31 . . . Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified AND God is glorified in him.
32 If God is glorified in him – God will glorify the Son in the God-self AND will glorify Jesus at once.
33 “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now:
Where I am going, you cannot come.
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples; if you love one another.”
