WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR? is the theme for Vacation Bible School at the Monitor Church of the Brethren, July 8-12. Children ages 4 through the completion of 8th grade can participate. HAITI WATER PROJECT FUNDRAISER – All are invited to a picnic dinner on Sunday, July 14, at 1433 Briarwood Lane. Dinner will be served 5 – 7 p.m. and hosted by Rita Beam, Gregg & Judy Stockstill and Dave & Bonnie Fruth. WESTERN PLAINS DISTRICT CONFERENCE is July 26 – 28 in McPherson. Bob Bates will replace Roy Winter as Saturday evening’s speaker. Other weekend presenters include Moderator Keith Funk, Sarah Mason, Dinah Largo and Steven Schweizter. Registration deadline is Monday, July 8. Late registrations will be accepted with increased registration fees. REGISTER HERE

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS are needed during Sunday School and the Worship Service on Sunday, July 28. Many young children will be attending due to District Conference. Contact Daisy Friesen for more information.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL will be offered by the Faith Formation Team June 2 – July 28. Lela Beam and Pastor Jerry Bowen will co-teach “Just Peace/Restorative Justice.” Bible lessons and scripture will be matched with discussion about practical ways to be peacemakers.

DIRECTOR OF INTERCULTURAL MINISTRIES is a new position available at the Church of the Brethren General Office in Elgin, Ill. Review the job description and apply at COBApply@brethren.org.

THE SANCTUARY ORGAN has served our congregation well and is in need of major repairs. The bid for the proposed renovation by Reuter Pipe Organs is $27,000. More than $19,000 has been donated and/or pledged thus far. If you would like to support the renovation project, contact any member of the Worship Design Team (Doris Coppock, Kendra Flory, Ellen Gilbert, Jean Hendricks, Carol Ward, LeRoy Weddle or Kathryn Whitacre).
