McPherson Community Brass Choir directed by Jerry Toews will present a Spring Concert today, 3 p.m., in the Church Sanctuary. Church member participants include Winona Godfrey, Eric Goering, Darren Hendricks and Seth Schoming.

Hopeful Blues, a five piece instrumental ensemble from Hope Mennonite Church, Wichita, will present a concert at The Cedars Wellness Center today, at 3 p.m. Music will include gospel, traditional and contemporary hymns. Everyone is invited.

Reasonable Faith series will feature Kirk MacGregor presenting “What Should Be the Christian View of Abortion?” on Monday, April 29, 7-8 p.m., in Mohler Hall, Room 212, at McPherson College.

McPherson College student Lillian Oeding will present her Junior Flute Recital on Tuesday, April 30, 7 p.m., in the Church Sanctuary. She will be accompanied by pianist and church member Jean Hendricks.

National Older Adult Conference (NOAC) is September 2-6 in Lake Junaluska, NC. Registration opens Wednesday, May 1. Register online at brethren.org/noac or call 800.323.8039, ext. 302. First Fridays: McPherson College at The Cedars will feature Dr. Becki Bowman presenting “Legacy Project” on Friday, May 3, at 3 p.m.

Western Plains District Men’s Retreat is Friday and Saturday, May 3 & 4, at Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend. This year’s theme is “On the Emmaus Road: Awakening to God.”

McPherson College Band will perform its final concert on Monday, May 6, 6:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Graduation Reception – The church family is invited to a reception honoring high school seniors Ben Hopkins, Jace Kinnamon, Hannah Kirchner, Isaiah Moyer, Lindy Reynolds, Laura Ullom-Minnich and Grace van Asselt on Sunday, May 12, 2-4 p.m., in the Church Social Room.

International Conscientious Objection Day is Wednesday, May 15. All are invited to the Ecumenical Prayer for Peace Ceremony, 6-7 p.m., at the World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Mo. Information, contact Paul Cesare at peacecoordinator@hotmail.com.

Work Camp Weekend is May 24-27, at Camp Colorado. Volunteers with various skills and talents are needed. For more information, contact campmgr@campcolorado.org.

Camp Colorado Annual Meeting is Saturday, May 25, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Agenda items include the annual report, financial report and election of new board members.
