HAITI WATER PROJECT

Installing a full reverse osmosis system (which allows purification of drinking water and removal of the salt that can leach in from sea water) costs about $15,000.

Do you have loose change and small bills lying around AND a passion for the Haiti Water Project? Bring both to church with you on Easter Sunday and let’s see how much new life, through clean water, we can fund.

The Passion

Invitation to Give

Offering Music    “Via Dolorosa”    – arr. Stan Pethel

Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day, the soldiers tried to clear the narrow street.

But the crowds pressed into see a man condemned to die on Calvary.

He was bleeding from a beating – there were stripes upon His back and He wore a crown upon his head.

And he bore with every step the scorn of those – of those – of those, who cried out for His death.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering, like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King.

But he chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me. Down the Via Dolorosa all the way to Calvary.

Blessing for the Offering

Scriptures of the Passion      Luke 22: 1-62, 23: 1-56

Song of the Passion    “All in the Morning”     – Peter Amidon

It was on Holy Wednesday, and all in the morning that Judas betrayed our dear heav’nly King:

And was not this a woeful thing? And sweet Jesus we’ll call him by name.

It was on Maundy Thursday, and all in the morning, they plaited a crown of thorns for our heavn’ly King:

and was not this a woeful thing? And sweet Jesus we’ll call him by name.

It was on Good Friday and all in the morning, They crucified our Savior and our heavenly King:

And was not this a woeful thing? And sweet Jesus we’ll call him by name.

When all the Worship Participants have left the sanctuary;

the congregation may exit in silence.
