McPherson College Opportunities

Miller Library Librarian Mary Hester, invites volunteer help to process materials in the Brethren Archives. No special skills are needed, she will train. Any help is appreciated; one time, weekly or bi-weekly. The timeline for this project is short – she is in urgent need of help.

Ventures in Discipleship – The course offering for November will be “Welcome to Transformation.” Immigrants, refugees, and people of color all have a role in revitalizing communities of faith. The online class will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (CST), Saturday, November 11. Beth Gunzel, Community Engagement Coordinator in Chicago for Heifer International, and Irvin Heishman, co-pastor of West Charleston Church of the Brethren, Tipp City, Ohio, will be teaching. Trick or Treat for UNICEF

Kingdom Kids visited the church neighbors last Wednesday, asking for spare change. They collected over $127. Today and next Wednesday, let’s help them get to $200. Donate cash and change in the Halloween UNICEF Boxes. Thank you.

$15 = a box of 5 mosquito nets to protect kids from malaria

$55 = a box of “therapeutic” food to save a malnourished child
