Help Save the Planet! Earth Day Tip #27, shared by the Philo Class: Unplug your appliances that are not in use (televisions, computers, kitchen appliances, cell phone chargers). These items pull electricity even when not in use. A simple tweak will help to save some CO2 and a little bit of green as well.

Pastoral Care Minister Chris and family are attending Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA and will also be traveling and taking vacation time through Sunday, July 18. For pastoral care or concerns, contact Rick Schrag (241-5769) or the Church Office (241-1109) during office hours.

The final summer meeting of the McPherson People of Peace will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 5, in McPherson Memorial Park (west of the Courthouse). This will be a potluck brunch with conversations, and Prayers for Peace in the world. Everyone interested in peace and non-violence is invited and encouraged to attend.

Our church family continues to have the opportunity to serve and enjoy fellowship with the larger McPherson community through the Loaves and Fishes Program. Please consider offering your gifts of meal planning, cooking, serving, and friendship on Sunday, August 8 or 15. One meal coordinator, 6-8 helpers, and food providers, are requested for each Sunday. If you would like to help, contact Susan Taylor (241-3321).

Over $6000 has been raised for the House in Haiti. Funds will be sent to Brethren Disaster Ministries this week. We will continue to have a special fund for Haiti, which will be used for a possible work camp there or other relief efforts. Thanks for your donations.
