Heifer products (books, plush animals, ornaments, etc.), nice for Christmas gift giving, are available today in the Good Shepherd Foyer. For questions, contact Florence Crago.

The Annual Community Christmas Carol-Along will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 6, in the lobby of Home State Bank and Trust. Everyone is welcome.

Steps to End Poverty (STEPMC) invites you to attend an opportunity to learn more about ending poverty in McPherson. Carlos Guajardo will be telling his story of how Circles™ helped him move out of poverty. Sessions: First United Methodist Church on Friday, December 10, 11:30 – 1 p.m. or 6:30 – 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome. (Please note the date change.)

The annual Hospice Cookie Sampler is planned for 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, December 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church. If you wish to donate homemade cookies, candy or breads, please deliver them to the church before 5 p.m. on Friday, December 10. Proceeds will support Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, a non-profit hospice care organization in our community.

Philo Class Party/Luncheon: to be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 11, in the Church Social Room. Class members are invited to bring a Christmas memento or prepare to share a special Christmas memory.

McPherson Area Habitat for Humanity will be dedicating the 21st Habitat home in McPherson County at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 12. You are invited to join in the celebration with Amber Lane and family at 720 North Elm, McPherson. An open house will follow.

If you are interested in assisting with operating the TV cameras during the Sunday worship services, please contact Rick Schrag or Chris Whitacre by Sunday, December 19.

McPherson College Choir will present a concert of Nine Lessons and Carols at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, in the Church Sanctuary. Pre-Concert music by the McPherson Community Brass Quintet will begin at 3:45 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Mark your calendars for the All-Church Caroling and Chili Event at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, in the Church Social Rooms. Someone from the Fellowship & Hospitality Team will be in the Church Gathering Space following worship today with a sign-up sheet for bringing your favorite chili recipe, carrots, or crackers. If you have questions, contact any of the team members – Deb C. Wagoner, Amber Henrikson, Lisa Goering, Julie Heitschmidt, or Bud Taylor. Hope to see you all there!

Outreach Team suggests sending some Christmas cheer to those working with Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS). A basket with names and addresses has been placed in the Church Gathering Space. Take as many names as you would like and remember them with a card.
