Bridges Out of Poverty Training

Posted November 12th, 2010

STEPMC is offering Bridges Out of Poverty Training for all community members. Bridges Out of Poverty trains community volunteers who want to help people living in poverty work their way to self-sufficiency. Bridges training leads to a better understanding of poverty, provides a process for helping people out of poverty and encourages restructuring of community resources to facilitate and sustain self-sufficiency. This training is used to prepare volunteers to build relationships across class lines.

Bridges Out of Poverty training is the first step to becoming involved with the Circles(TM) Campaign in McPherson County. If you are interested in serving as an Ally, you need this training. If you are interested in serving on one of the teams that support the Circles(TM) Campaign, you need this training.

Saturday, November 20
8:30-2:30, The Well, 101 North Main, McPherson, KS

Please join our facilitators, Mike and Cindy Marion, as we begin to learn about the hidden rules of economic class and how we can build relationships across economic class lines to the benefit of all members of our community.

To register, please call 620-242-2015 and let us know that you would like to attend. The cost is $15 which includes your workbook.
